Happy New Year ~ Notes for 2013

Thursday, January 10th, 2013

Happy New Year! Yes, I’m running a little late. I can’t believe how amazing 2012 was for Rachel Eagle Photography. I worked to capture beautiful memories for 56 families, many multiple times, of their newborn and growing babies and families, their high school seniors and their weddings (assisting Tiffany Brubaker Photography). My little on-location business now has a part-time studio to call home. I can’t thank you all enough for your support and the many smiles and laughs we have shared.

There are very few changes going into 2013. I’m going to continue to work toward better work-life balance, and ask for your continued patience during the busy seasons. I’m also making a few tweaks to my digital packages in response to your feedback about what you want and need. Otherwise, that’s it. Same prices, same me, and lots of new ideas. I can’t wait to see you!

Here’s my inspiration for everything I do and everything I strive to be, my sweeties on Christmas Eve:

Fall mini sessions! Catch them while they are hot!

Friday, September 7th, 2012

Fall is such a crazy busy time for photographers! I’m trying something new this year, to fit in as many beautiful autumn family photos for holiday cards and gifts. Fall mini sessions!

FAQS:

Q: What do you mean digital printable images?
A: I’ll give you a disk with full-resolution images and a print release. No size restrictions or catch. You can use the disk to print your own images (I will recommend my favorite consumer printer) and get holiday cards where ever you want.

Q: I don’t want to mess with my own prints. What about me?
A: Trade your disk for a $100 print credit. Easy-peasy!

Q: Can I get the disk and still order prints from you?
A: Want to order a large print, mini-book, or canvas from me? You sure can, and enjoy a 10% discount!

Q: Do I get to pick the location?
A: Nope. I’ve got a great place where all the sessions will occur.

Q: Can I use this for pictures of my kids/family/dog?
A: This mini-session is good for anyone!

Q: What if I need more than 30 minutes?
A: Check out my normal session prices or purchase 2 minis!

Q: Can I get a morning/afternoon/evening session?
A: Sessions are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. First come, first serve!

Q: How can I reserve my spot?
A: Payment is required to hold your spot. E-mail me for address or paypal details!

Announcements!

Wednesday, June 6th, 2012

A couple big changes and announcements today. First, the most exciting! I have signed the lease on studio space in Mantorville, MN. Woot! This doesn’t mean that I won’t still prefer my first love, on-location shoots. It does mean I’ll have more flexibility in the cold months. The studio will be ready for shooting in the next couple of months.

Next, I’ve been sticking to my guns on a more limited schedule this year, but as a result my schedule is filling up for the summer. I’m fully booked for June (except for newborns), and July and August are going fast.

I’ve been doing this for several years now, and I’ve seen a pattern to what kind of sessions you want and need. I’m changing up my session structure to reflect that. I’m hoping this will allow me to do more of what I love: seeing you all and shooting, while maximizing my family time. I’ll now be offering these types of sessions:

Milestone:
30 minutes
1 location
1 person
$50

Extended:
1 hour
1 location
$75

Max:
2 hours
Unlimited locations
Up to 5 people
$100

Additionally, each session now includes a $20 print credit.

These session changes are effective immediately for all future *unbooked* sessions. If I already have you on the calendar, even pencilled in, you are under the old pricing structure. If you have any questions, please ask. This is new to me too!

And now for something pretty, a shot from a wedding last weekend in which I assisted the amazing Tiffany Brubaker Photography. I’ll share more soon!
