On vacation (again)

Yup, we’re off to Michigan again to introduce Lukie to another set of family. I’ll be checking in periodically, but unless I see something urgent, I’ll respond on 8/8. Just an extra note, my August is filling up fast. Now is a great time to schedule your senior pictures.
To add some beauty, here’s a few of my brood.

I had a good time with Mr. G and Miss A in the house, but a great time at Oxbow Park. This is what I really love to do.

And one more, just because I wanted to share a black and white image. The eyes on these kids are just unbelievable. I don’t have to touch them in post-processing.

Of course, I don’t have a studio, but I like to pretend. These kids’ mom was a good sport about tripping over my piano (and all the toys and the dog hair).

You may recognize Mr. G from his newborn pictures, but he’s a big boy now.

He’s already 9 months old. The 2 little teeth in that grin just about kill me!

This time, he brought his sister along for her 3 year pictures. Miss A is very sweet.

Don’t let her fool you though, she’s got a sassy side!

I also did an outdoor session with these 2, and I’ll be sharing some peeks from that soon. The wildflowers are perfect now!

One of the many nice perks of my maternity leave from both my day job and photography has been the time to shoot and edit (and now share) some more pictures of my own little birds.
Ben, my big boy, will be going to kindergarten in the fall. I can hardly believe it. He is sweet, sensitive, and imaginative. A few weeks ago he announced “tomorrow is elephant’s birthday.” Elephant has been his “lovey” since he was small, and he used to drag him everywhere. He made Elephant a card, and we took him to dinner with us (at McDonald’s). If you are wondering, Elephant turned 5.

Sammy is my crazy 2 year old. He is spirited to say the least, but it is hard to get mad at him when he is always smiling. He loves dressing up and can often be seen wearing a diaper, water shoes and a cowboy hat around the house. These boots are among his favorites, and honestly, can you blame him?

Lukie is already over a month old. He’s getting all fluffed up and is more beautiful (biased!) everyday. It amazes me how much he looks like Sammy as a baby. This beautiful quilt was a gift from my friend Becky.

Mr. E and Miss L were a total joy. Both are at the age that their personalities burst out, and they kept me laughing (and working!) throughout the entire session.

This little cowpoke couldn’t be any cuter, though I may be a little biased, because he’s mine It was just the two of us this weekend, as the rest of the family went dirt biking and camping. A weekend with Mom has to include some time in front of the camera!

Oh, you may have noticed a few changes around here. This is what I do when senior season is over! The new look allows me to share BIGGER pictures here, and bigger is better, right I didn’t even take advantage of that here, but you can see how much more room I have. I fixed a bug that caused pictures to not appear after an article fell off the first page.
