That’s the end of the Luke newborn posts…for now

When all the trees and flowers started blooming early this year, I had dreams of taking these shots. What a wonderful way to celebrate my spring baby I just had to wait until it warmed up. We brought him home just as the cold snap hit.

One of my hesitations about choosing the name Lucas was that it wasn’t easy to have a nickname by adding an “e” sound. We called our older boys Benny and Sammy, at least when they were young. Since Luke has arrived, I have learned that I can and do call him Lukie (especially Lukie Pookie). Of course, I should have worried, as our kids always end up with tons of nicknames. Ben and Sam primarily call him “Baby,” while Jason and I call him…Squishy Face.
