Last weekend, I met up with this beautiful couple and their kids. I hope you guys at a great time at Pizza Ranch :-)

I think the only thing that I like better than shooting seniors is shooting newborns! You just can’t get any sweeter than this little guy. He made me really want a baby; luckily, I have one on the way :-)

I love the timeless look of newborns in black and white. Catching a tiny smile? Priceless!

Getting great wide eyes from a newbie? Pretty wonderful…IMG_5055-copy

But I am TRULY a sucker for baby toes! IMG_5087

Mr. C ~ Senior portraits

October 18, 2009

Last weekend Mr. C withstood some chilly temperatures in the name of senior pictures. I was freezing just looking at him, but he didn’t complain at all. With the help of his girlfriend and grandma, he even cracked some great grins for me! Thanks for a great time!

Mr. E and Miss L were a total joy. Both are at the age that their personalities burst out, and they kept me laughing (and working!) throughout the entire session.

This little cowpoke couldn’t be any cuter, though I may be a little biased, because he’s mine :-) It was just the two of us this weekend, as the rest of the family went dirt biking and camping. A weekend with Mom has to include some time in front of the camera!

Oh, you may have noticed a few changes around here. This is what I do when senior season is over! The new look allows me to share BIGGER pictures here, and bigger is better, right :-) I didn’t even take advantage of that here, but you can see how much more room I have. I fixed a bug that caused pictures to not appear after an article fell off the first page.

Just testing

September 11, 2009

Testing some new functions today, but I won’t go without a picture! How about some pretty flowers?

from my garden

And one of my oldest enjoying the last days of summer:

One of the dangers of on-location shooting is that I am vulnerable to Mother Nature’s whims. This summer, I’ve only had to reschedule 2 shoots, and they were both Miss K’s! Luckily, third time is the charm. Thursday was an absolutely beautiful night. We met at Plummer House in Rochester (where they were so many photographers we had to queue up!) I absolutely loved her outfit, and it photographed so well with the stones.

I’ve mentioned before that senior shoots are my favorites, and one of the reasons is all the personality and special touches. Miss K wanted to include her stuffed animal collection, and this bear with special meaning.

Next, we headed to Oxbow Park for magical light (and another super cute dress!)

Unless I get any last minute requests, Miss K was my last senior for the year. Thanks for a great last session!

My final shoot in Wisconsin was Mr. C’s family. Can you believe he put up with 2 photo shoots? The entire family is such a blast, and up for anything.

We got some cool shots in very cool locations. This my my favorite! I adore Dale Chihuly’s work and taking a picture is the closest I will ever get to having it in my house!

Another of my Wisconsin photo shoots was this guy, who happens to be my husband’s “little” cousin. I guess he isn’t so little anymore… C was my first male senior, and though he wasn’t very excited, I was! C is an athlete, so we made sure to incorporate that into his session.
